Youth Books

You may have noticed that we’ve been organizing and moving things around on the website. We’d love to have your input and feedback on the changes, so feel free to drop us a note.

The newest category is YOUTH, which eventually will carry a wider variety and level of books for kids 8 years and older. 

On the easier level is Vier Freunde auf dem Ponyhof, which combines a story with questions and puzzles to assist in comprehension. 

 The Deutschland Rätsel is a fun activity book for kids 9 and older.  Each page is a different activity related to Germany, including finding the names of the Landes or famous German artists.  The answers are on the back of the page.  This could easily be used one page per day.

If your child is reading on their own, try Emma und der Blaue Dschinn by Cornelia Funke or Spur in die Wildnis (from Die drei ??? Kids series). 

For a bit of fun, we have two famous comics:  Asterix with 3 stories in one book and Tim und Struppi’s Das Geheimnis der “Einhorn” which was the basis for the recent movie. 

There are other books too, and we’ll slowly be adding more to this section.  T1 enjoys Krimi and adventure stories and T2 likes the older Conni books, so we’ll probably be including a few more of those as well.
