Alphabet Garten is here to serve you! But don't take our word for it - hear what others have to say about us.
This (Summer Reading Program) was great and took a long time, so it encouraged lots of time reading German. I think my German has improved since I have read to [my daughter] so much!! Thanks,

Thanks for making these products available in the U.S.! I remember to check your site from time to time thanks to your Facebook updates. :)

I read you like to talk with bilingual parents so I thought I shoot you an email to THANK YOU for this and your other wonderful helpful tools for us parents, and grandparents ;) who need a little push to continue passing on this valuable gift of a second language we can give our children and grand children. My husband and I just purchased the Baby book gift kit and had it sent straight to our son and daughter-in-law for our grandson Aviel who is 14 months. Our son is eager to receive it to get started in passing on the gift.
In our family I am the German/Mom and my husband is the English speaking Dad, and our son is the German speaking Dad and his wife is the English speaking Mom.
Thank you again Sarah!!!
Mrs. Heidrun B., aka Aviel's Omi
Your efforts in this creating a home to speak German are just beautiful. Thank you for your free download.
I am so excited!! We are making progress!! I knew my girls understood everything in German, but I hadn't required them to speak German until I realized my error. Yesterday, while watching their Valentines' Day gift of the Dornröschen DVD, my 5 year old exclaimed loud, clearly, and unprompted in 2 complete German sentences how terrible the witch is and that she does not like her because she is not nice. This was the best Valentines' Day gift I have ever received!!
Thanks for your stuff!
It is wonderful to have a local and reliable resource from which to purchase German books and DVDs. I really like how your selection is always changing. There is always something new to buy.
I just stumbled across a link to your website from yahoo answers and when I saw it I thought I would cry! I met my husband Christian(from Berlin) here in America and we have a 5 year old daughter who is from my previous marriage. She loves her papa and can now understand him much better than she could at first but we have wanted to find ways to teach her to speak German besides what she learns from papa (more beginner's stuff and pictures help connect with the spoken words). Her accent is quite good!
I was convinced years ago that someday I would marry a German man and so collected books and magazines for years including many kids books but they are all a little too old for her age level and she does not focus as much as she would if they were for younger kids with more pictures and were about Thomas the train or dinosaurs. Her 2 favorite subjects!
I have already found several books here we will be ordering as soon as I go home and show my husband! We will look through your selection and I can promise you we will be giving you much business. What a fantastic website! Also maybe you would have some recommendations on books in her age range for German beginners. I understand German very well but speak very little and will probably learn to speak as we teach her.
Her papa can speak very little English. I can't thank you enough. I was starting to think we would never find a place to buy German books for kids like this so close to home as we live in Utah. Or someone who understands our situation. Thank you and talk to you later.
I think Alphabet-Garten provides a wonderful service for parents who wish to share the German language with their children, regardless of their own familiarity with the language. Thank you for sharing your experiences and book finds with likeminded parents.
You were a fantastic resource. I was trying to purchase German books for a young child. It was impossible unless I was willing to spend a large sum to purchase the books from Europe. Thank goodness I found your website. You were very helpful and your service was fantastic.
Because I live in a rural area of the country, I have had to struggle to provide my children with diverse cultural opportunities at home. Alphabet-Garten has been one of my main sources for such cultural opportunities.
Thank you so very much for getting the books I ordered shipped in time to arrive for Christmas. I have to say that I was very tardy in ordering my Christmas gifts this year due to the arrival of a new baby in November. It was wonderful to have the gifts under the tree for Christmas Day. Thank you for making that happen with excellent customer service.
We are greatly enjoying our recent purchases from you (some DVDs and books) and now I'd like to order more!
Thank you so much for the awesome unit study ! I've posted the link on a
homeschooling message board and know that there will be lots of grateful moms and I hope many will purchase the books. We love the books and are listening to the CD right now.
First and foremost, congratulations on this amazing web page and the wonderful opportunities all of your products provide to native/ no-native speakers. I'm German, therefore a native speaker. My husband and I are planing on having kids soon and of course I want to use this once in a lifetime opportunity and raise my kids bilingual.
I have read tons of material on how to do so and what's the best and what you shouldn't do- Can I just tell you that your web page gave me the confidence, after almost loosing my mind, to remind my self with what kind of wonderful fairy-tales and stories I grew up. Knowing that all of that material will be available for me when I'll need it is just simply awesome.
I also signed up for you newsletter and received that booklet, I gotta say that this WILL be helpful for me exactly the other way around, now I'll be able to use the ENGLISH phrases for an already to me known GERMAN one. Keep doing what you doing and expect some orders over the next couple years- as soon as we got our little one.
We'd love to share your comments with others. If you have something nice to say, please let us know :-)
